Description
As part of it's now second successful year of Playlight Theatre's Songwriter's Night music series, we are excited to present the Songwriter's Showcase! The Showcase will be a culmination of the past year of music making and coming together as a theatre community. During the year Playlight holds an evening dedicated to composer/lyricists' work in a friendly, safe, and casual atmosphere. Individuals or team writers will be given the opportunity to share 1-2 songs. No formal feedback is offered, as the general tone of the event should be fun and inspiring. The purpose of this series is to build community while strengthening individual repertoire for musical theatre composers. Writers can perform themselves or invite rehearsed performers at their discretion. The Songwriter's Showcase is a chance for everyone to gather in one place and celebrate our fellow artists and the community we have built together.
